Personal Best - A Cycling Film Shot on the 7D

Neat story. Lots of blown-out footage, and the audio needs serious work. On-cam mic? This has so little and such simple dialog that ADR wouldn't be out of the question.
 
Yeah, we didn't have time to do the ADR before the screening thanks to the recent flooding in Nashville, but it will come soon and the cut will be altered accordingly. We actually had our sound recorded on a Sound Devices 744T but somehow the CF card went missing so we had to make do with a lot of on-camera sound.

The blown-out shots were a deliberate choice of the DP, Mike White.

Looks great. Has a problem conceptually though. Looks like he's trying to beat his previous times on the set course but he never seems to be actually racing. He casually rides through town. We never see the sweat or feel the pain.
 
I enjoyed it, fun movie! I love the footage...The blow outs did look artistic to me. Fun music too...

Great Job...and good luck with the flooding, our prayers are with you:)
