FEATURE: PERCEPTION new Stan Harrington Feature begins filming February!

Shooting Tuesday in Orange county with a Lear Jet and stretch Limo...the most production I've ever had!!! Looking forward to it...

Thanks Matt, Corpse...I'll post a pic or two tomorrow or the day after...should be interesting as I am using Nikon Lenses this time on the 7d...all I could borrow. Hopefully they'll produce just as nicely. Dont know the quality of the glass on these...they look old but in good cond... crossed fingers...

We shot on old Nikon glass for Stricken. Worked like a charm. :)

Outrageous! Isn't it kinda disorienting after a lifetime of low/no budgets, to suddenly be shooting in such luxury :)...

Well...it's always nice. Sometimes we just don't try hard enough or ask enough to get what we really could have...I'm just trying to push the no budget limits as far as I can but i surely will welcome that big pay day!!!!

This looks very intriguing! Makes me want to watch the movie. I like films with many psychological layers to them, and it seems like this is that kinda thing :) Also, good acting so far - which is rare in indies.

The one thing that amazes me here strictly from a production and design point of view, is that a lot of effort seems to have been made to make the settings look good (i.e. interesting and real), which again, is a fault of most indies (in that they choose really boring or empty sets due to lack of money, time, and a clue). It seems like you're operating with somewhat more money than I thought you'd be - takes away a bit from the micro/no budget I was led to believe was going on; not that this takes away from the kudos on pulling this off, just that you're lucky or resourceful enough to big up the production.

And technically it's not bad - I appreciate the sound, in that I can hear everything I need to, clearly (again, a frequent failing of indies - bad audio).

Stan, it sounds and looks like you got it together. I can't wait to see the final product. When are you wrapping principal?

We will probably shoot for a while because of the lack of budget and still trying to nail down one major role...its a name actor so it is taking time...if we get him it will be at a cost but other than that I think youd be surprised how cheaply this film is made...the locations give it size...we all drivw down to San Fran...5 hours...the jet and limo I got in exchange for photos (free in other words) and the non union actors are in it for the glory, not the money...the long shots of the limo are shot by me, as is anything I am not in or any coverage that I am not seen in (generally speaking)...the others are set up on a tripod and anyone I can get pushes the button after I focus...focus pulling is difficult but I have an actress that I am showing how to do it and she's doing pretty well, we eventually get the shot....no lights, one mike and H4N...no other crew...just a tripod...It takes a lot of begging which is not pleasant but when you are broke you either sit and home and do nothing, or you do your best to sell your passion...believe me it is infectious, particularily if you can provide something of interest and quality...Because it is a ULB project there is no way it will be no budget at all, obviously...I am guessing, 10,000...but we'll see...hope this sheds more light...
