Pentax K lens adapter

I just purchased my first SMC-m lens today, and now need an adapter. I presume I am needing a Pentax K to EOS adapter? Also, some on Ebay have the focus beep chip and some don't. Is this necessary for video work? I personally didn't even know it existed because I've kept my stills setting on burst mode and not single, so it never beeped in manual focus. I tried getting it to beep using video mode, but it didn't seem to want to do anything. Is the focus beep only good in stills mode? Is it worth the extra $10 or so for the adapter with that capability? Oh, and if someone has a link to an adapter that they know works well and won't cause issues with my camera, I would be extremely grateful.

Don't pay for those features. As long as its made of metal and its K/PK to EOS, you're golden. Fotodiox makes awesome adapters, and they're cheap.

I just got the adapter and I really love the Pentax SMC 50mm f2. It fits snugly with the adapter and works great. However, I don't see how to take the adapter back off the lens now so I can put the rear cap on. Can someone help me with this, and is there by chance a cap that would fit over the adapter so I can just leave it on?

Edit: I found out how to take it off. Still wondering about a cap to cover the adapter, that would be ideal.

A standard EOS rear lens cap will fit. I've picked up a number of these off of eBay for all of my adapted lenses. The adapters stay on permanently and I just cap the end like normal and I'm good to go.

Here's a shot I got with the 50mm f2 SMC just messing around for a few minutes today.
