Peleng 8mm on the 7D

Longest lens I had was a 500mm... longest I currently have is a 300mm. But did you see the GH1 moon shot with the 300mm? It was surprisingly telescopic...

Does $300 seem to be about what a Peleng 8mm is going to cost? I've seen older reviews saying it can be had for $200-250 new, but I wonder if this lens' value or scarcity has increased?

Just bought it. Am excited to try it out. Reminds me quite heavily of several shots from IMAX films I saw growing up....quite the influence on me. I'll probably use this lens too much.
