GH4 Panasonic GH4 & 4K Interface Pricing Texas Media Systems

After being severely disappointed by my pre-order experience at Adorama, I called up TMS and Morgan had a GH4 on the truck for me less than an hour later. Super easy to deal with, and speedy service. Seems like a no brainer to order from these guys in the future!

Mine will be delivered tomorrow. Thanks Texas Media Systems!

Really wanted to get mine before the weekend, but didn't have any other shipping option except "free" one on the checkout. Looks like I will be getting it on 29th.

Thank you Terry and TMS for helping me out!

+1 for me! I called at 4:45 pm...the UPS truck was coming at 5:00...TMS had my camera on the truck and I got my tracking number at 5:10. Amazing!...I will call these guys first next time.

yes you can. PM Terry here or call them up. They can upgrade the shipping to overnight at some reasonable cost.

Thank you Texas Media! Saw the pic Terry posted and decided to take a chance and call them...picked one up today :)

Now...I just need some 4K TVs, a 4K monitor...does CS 5.5 even handle 4K?....

I did call at around 2pm PST and was told its out for UPS. Pmed at the time of placing my order as well + already got the tracking number, so I don't think the shipping method can be changed at this point.

It's no biggy. We'll just rent a camera, since the main goal for the weekend is to test prototype copter. Would've been nice to play with GH4 as well :cheesy:

I better be seeing some excellent 4k footage of cats and dogs in the back yard before the weekend is through dammit.

Get to it.

finally it make it way to California from Texas Media System. Thanks Terry for the extra effort to make it happen.

Just talked to Panasonic.

The next GH4 shipment has been pushed back to the end of this month.

Its looking like the GH4 Kits and the 2nd GH4 body shipment will arrive at the same time.

Sorry for the delay.

Terry, maybe you can settle something for which I can't find a definitive answer... is 12V DC external power REQUIRED with the YAGH for all functionality, or will it still operate as an audio interface drawing power from the camera?

I ask this because Panasonic's site (http://shop.panasonic.com/shop/model/DMW-YAGH) lists:

Power source
12 V DC, 1.5A<TBD> (including a digital camera)

...so does that mean as we've suspected that you must have 12V external, or must have 12V DC plus the camera, or the camera can somehow also provide 12V DC (via some internal transformer or some such?). Eager to find out for certain. I've not seen much user feedback on the YAGH

The YAGH does require external power through the 4 pin XLR. The camera battery will not power the YAGH.
