why don't you keep your snarky comments to the Sony side of the forum - no need to spread your negativity here

Oh sorry have I hurt your feelings with a bit humour about an unreleased unspecified inanimate object?

I just hope it's a short flange lens mount. The opertunity to use speed boosters or adapt to different types of lenses is such a good thing that it would be sad to not have it. Sony have managed it with a s35 size sensor so it would be disappointing if Panasonic give up on the idea.

I'm just really hoping for an interesting sensor. A few more features than an FS5 might help beat it in the market, but unless they have a unique sensor/feature, Canon's eventual C100 III/C200 will be a better bet, especially if it has DPAF (which is a godsend at that level).

Of course, the Sony A9 sensor (in the s35 mode) is made for video .... except camera itself isn't.

I really don't get why the a9 doesn't even have slog3. The only possible explanation is that they decided to cripple it. But why cripple a $4500 stills camera? It's not really competing against the FS7, completely different ergonomics.

The info I have says this wont be a particular innovative camera. It's more a mix of already existing functions and features. Plain vanilla these days at a decent price. Look upon it as a competitor to the FS5 or C100 MKII with the added 4k functionality compared to the C100 MKII. The camera will use Panasonics 10-bit codec and a Sony sensor specially made for Panasonic.

If autofocus is not good as one into GH5, I think is better save for C300 MK II. What do you think about it?
