i've been interested in both of these items, but i'm wondering which one of these i may be better off with.
i frame my shots with the 2.35:1 guide in-cam, so i can crop as such in Sony Vegas. i would like a bit more spread in my shots, such as indoors. but i can't stand the fisheye look.
i realize that the Panasonic LA-7200 Anamorphic is made so 4:3 shooters can shoot in 16x9, but it serves as a 2.35:1 adapter for the XH-A1, and other 16x9 cams. but does it have wide angle properties? or would i be better off with the Canon wide converter that was specifically designed for the A1/G1, and get the extra spread while still cropping in my NLE. i do like the .8x look...not to distorted like a fisheye, but definately gets more in the shot. only downside to the Canon is no filter threads in front, and i'm not about to buy a mattebox...
let me know what you all think...though i'm leaning towards the Canon...
Thanks
