P2 Transfer Problem in Final Cut 7

I am having problems transferring P2 data to FCP using log and transfer. But there's something decidedly wonky happening, as this seems to affect footage shot at 720p30, but not footage shot at 720pN24. The 720pN24 footage imports without so much as a hiccup. However the 720p30 footage simply stalls after a few seconds of attempting to process the request, without any advance on the progress bar.

I'm unsure where to check for the pull-down settings.

I'm unsure exactly what you're asking (30 over 60). This footage was shot on an HVX200 at 720p30. I've never encountered this issue before, as most of my footage has been 720pN24 (which still imports fine, btw). Where do I check the pull down setting in order to determine if this is the issue?

SOLUTION:

I was able to solve this problem by selecting the settings tab above the clips in the FCP Log & Transfer window. Click on Preferences and deselect "Remove Advanced Pulldown and Duplicate Frames." Problems seems to be solved.

That's why I asked the question about shooting 30 over 60 and whether in your L/T preferences what you set for advanced pulldown removal.

glad it's working.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. At least one should be able to search the forum and find a solution when this comes up again. Again, thank you.
