And if you get the DVX you will probably save about US$4000 over the HVX. Not a hard choice for most people who don't have 7K (I know, I know, we don't know the price).

YEP!!

I think it's going to be a pretty *cut and dry* decision come Sunday / Monday. This isn't going to be some agonizing decesion like FX1 vs. DVX vx. XL2.

You're either going to be *in or out* of the 5-7k price range. And if your out....well....you still have the DVX. I know....I know....that's horrible. How could you possibly work with such junk....but that's life!!

For me it's slightly different. I am probably in the "get the best I can for 5k" range and while I could go lower (DVX) I'd probably get a better camera from the Z1 I'd imagine - even if I have to deinterlace that 50i (I PAL). Yuk, I can't believe I just thought about an HDV camera...
