P2 Import/ File Structure Mystery

Trying to help a client who has some P2 DvcProHD files on a La Cie drive that FCP will not convert to Quicktimes. In FCP 6.0.5 on multiple computers we can see the footage in the L&T window ,we can scrub through the footage and see the video, but when we start the transfer the status wheel spins but nothing happens. The progress bar shows no activity and if we click the status wheel when it stops spinning we get a 'red' exclamation mark.
We tried an older FCP5.0.4 system and the Import says it failed because the files were incomplete or corrupted. An detailed inspection of the files appears to show the structure of all the MXF files to be complete. Nothing appears out of the ordinary. Last clip file is intact.

We can also scrub through the MXF file footage in P2 Log Pro. Weve transferred it from the drive to the desktop. Weve cleaned out FCP preferences. Weve tried everything that. We tried clip repair in P2 Log Pro

This is 60 mins of aerial footage with no audio. Anyone got a suggestion of how to repair the files or just get quicktimes from the video we see in the MXF files.

Many thanks for your help.

Issue
You may be unable to transfer P2 or AVCHD media in the Final Cut Pro 6 Log and Transfer window if FxFactory is installed.

Solution
This issue is addressed in FxFactory 2.0.1.

For more information about FxFactory 2.0.1, visit the Noise Industries web site.

This didnt appear to have anything to do with software conflicts. We tested to many different fcp systems for that to be the case.
We never resolved what was causing the problem. The solution was Raylight. We were able to use the quicktime reference files it produces and export the footage from there.
