P2 Error msg when importing to FCP

When im in FCP and in log and transfer my footage from P2 to my comp. i get an error msg with some of my clips it says "spanned" next to them and it wont import them. i dont know why this is happening , and it is imperative that i have them, how do i fix this? some other people said that i need to delete soundtrack from my comp and it will fix it. i tried that and didnt do the trick, any help please?
 
I had the same problem a couple of weeks ago, and a quick search easily found many threads directly addressing this issue that provided a solution. Would suggest you also do a search, as I don't feel like typing it all out again.

Did you copy the entire p2 card volume including the lastclip.txt file?

And did you record to two cards?

Help us out with exactly what you did.
 
yeah thanks kevin, i dont know what your talking about and what to search for you mean search ofr non-currupted files already on my comp?

david this is what i did, i used log and transfer and brought all the clips into FCP using USB connect, and i dragged the clips from the file list to the queue, and let them be brought into my browser ready to bring into my timeline i didnt copy them to my hard drive using the lastclip.txt file

i hope that helps how do i fix this?
 
Try a keyword search of all forums for "P2 error spanned". When I did this, I found a number of threads addressing FCP importing problems, one of which solved the problem I was having.
