P2 confusion

ok let me see if i can get this right -
now i will be editing using a macbook pro and a powermac
now from what ive been told is that the p2 card cannot be used in the slot on the side of the mac book
with that being said then the only way to transfer data is to stop shooting and hook HVX to laptop. if this is the case then it is not good for me that i have to stop shooting and be down for say 5- 10min.

if anyone can share their work flows using mac's pls let me know

There's an adapter coming in the next few weeks that will allow you to plug the card into the MBP's slot.

Until then you can consider using a P2 Store, which allows for direct pass-thru to the MBP.

What is the name of the adaptor. This is something I need.
 
There is also a PC Card to USB adapter that is being developed and was the subject of a thread by the developer at this web site.
 
however i still have my powerbook 17in - i guess that can take the footage for the time being and then just have to transfer to powermac or powerbook later.
