P2 card NOT using it's full size.

I currently have 7 16 GB cards (119 minutes of Full HD). I will definitely pick up a 64 gb card when they are readily available.

Anyone want to buy a 16GB E series card or two?

Three larger cards!
actually, NO. if you have an on-set transfer assistant. two reasonably sized cards are just fine...
from my experience, one card will transfer faster than the other card can be shot onto...

anyway so does anyone think the 2 or so g less than average recording space is something average fo the e series or something i should take up with warranty?

From a computer technology standpoint, no. It's worth a try however, to call panasonic and see if you can get a replacement. Companies usually have a minimum "defect" rate with products like this, meaning that if it falls under a certain threshold its considered defective. Also, if it doesn't fall under that threshold then they consider it to be "within normal tolerances" and will probably tell you tough luck.

Kinda like computer monitors have to have more than 5 dead pixels to be replaced, because almost every screen that is made has at least one dead pixel somewhere. Its just the nature of the technology.

P.S. Be nice to the tech guy, your get further that way, and tell me what the threshold is if you find out. Its good info to know.

I was just asked about this same issue by a friend who claimed that the cards she was using weren't giving her full run time in a given format. I've never had the experience with P2 myself ( been using the system since march 2006) so I didn't know quite what to say...

Any one have any ideas?
