P2 card not seen in target mode on PB

I posted this a couple days ago on the hardware forum with no response yet, so I thought I might try again here.

When I connect my Powerbook G4 (with a P2 card already in the slot) to my G5 in firewire "target" mode (connect PB via FW, then start it while holding down the "T" key), I see the PB's hard drive on the G5's desktop, but not the P2 card.

Shouldn't this work? Am I doing something wrong? Do I need P2 drivers on the G5?

I don't think this is going to work at all. You might try adding the drivers to the G5, but I don't believe the target disk goes beyond just mounting the HDD.

Did you look in the User/Desktop folder on the mounted drive?
