P2 card mistake.

Hi Guys
Hope someone can offer some help on this one. I'm not very mac "compatible" and i'm relaying this on behalf of someone else. "we" have managed to offload 3 16GB P2 cards on a macbook to a lacie. Once the contents and last text file was copied successfully. The operator deleted the files on the P2 card using the laptop. Then ejected the card. The card was then put back into the camera and now will not come up. When trying to format the card in the camera, the slot options are all grayed out.
How can we try to format the card correctly on the mac? Can this be done without Contents Manager or other P2 apps? Is there a way to format like in windows, rightclick, format?

Your advice will be greatly appreciated.

Have you checked the write protect tab on the P2 card?

Sounds like the write protect card, as stated.

If you see a little orange on the back of the card it is write protected.

Hi Guys,
Thanks, but no it was not the write protect switch. Just loaded the original files back to the card. Then formatted in the camera.

This is what you DON'T want to do on mac.

Format the card in camera.
