Oooh...you LIKE!

Re: Oooh...you LIKE!

Eternity--
Kind of...
I just moved FROM Philly where I was STEEPED in the Christian hip hop scene (chuckle, chuckle, most don't even know it exists). I'm actually editing some footage of Da T.R.U.T.H as we speak for an A/V Bible study down in Orlando... I also shot his album cover

There was a time when I lived and breathed "Holy Hip Hop"...but after a while it just became another thing that got in the way of really focusing on God. I'm still great friends with many of those guys, and I can highly recommend christian hip hop to suit ANY skeptical music lover's taste...it's an expansive genre...but, while it once was, it is no longer the ONLY thing I listen to...so I guess a simple "YES." would have sufficed!

About a year ago, you would have found me frequenting hiphopforthesoul.com or some other HHH website as much as I currently hang out here.

Re: Oooh...you LIKE!

Do you listen to Fred Hammond or Kirk Franklin?

If you listen to Fred Hammond, have you also heard of Shea Norman?

Re: Oooh...you LIKE!

It was alright!! Did the police keep making you do "hand-check"? What's up with that?

Re: Oooh...you LIKE!

yeah, I had the po-po just below the frame line...there were dogs and guns and little blonde midget ninjas.

Re: Oooh...you LIKE!

So I'm Watching your clip in the den and my old lady is tellin me to shut the **** up from the kitchen cos she can't hear her soap. Hell I'm keeping that clip on the HD for ammo if nothin else. You see...When I do play which is rare these days and usually after a box of beer, I sound identical to you :D

I haven't laughed that hard in a while... Thanks

Re: Oooh...you LIKE!

he he! that was pretty cool! I enjoyed watching it... Although it was totally out sync for me... It felt like I was watching Kung Pow all over again.

;)

Re: Oooh...you LIKE!

Hey, Nice post effects, what stuff did you change? WHat kind of mic did you use?

Re: Oooh...you LIKE!

This was totally run and gun for me. It's so hardcore.
Actually, this was one of those 'speed of thought' ones. Totally "performance based". On board EVERYTHING. I couldn't get the camera on the tripod fast enough. But I had to color correct.

I do however, endorse the ME66/K6 combo. by Sennheiser. When I'm doing "serious" stuff (in an indie kind of way), that's the mic for me...but it's a boom and it kinda demands a boom operator, because if you mount it on camera, you pick up way too much camera noise. I haven't tried using a decent shockmount (on camera) it's just too bulky. PLUS, because of the mic's pickup pattern, camera mounted booms pick up more of the camera operator than other mic types...
