So you buy this dream camera, and then you stare at it.
And one day, you're like "Fuhgeddaboutit! I'm gonna shoot some dumb stuff!"

and that's what this is.

But just so that it's not a total waste of your 6 minutes...
This is the clip that's had me angry about compression lately...
To me, VERY clear sound is essnetial to this---otherwise it's not cute or funny, it just sucks. And much of the humor is in the facial details that totally disappear into the color of my skin.
So as bad as this clip is to begin with, it's actually interesting to watch (or at least NOT PAINFUL to watch) at full res and top notch sound.
Cleaner 6 took me from 1.3 gig self-contained FCP movie to this modest 20 megs...

Yeah...like I said, it was one of those days...you can see the tripod gleaming off of the guitar for part of it. I was actually shocked at the striking diff that color correction made...Let me see if I can get a grab to show...

Glad my borderline sanity is amusing ;)

Now that I see these grabs like this, the correction looks a bit severe. I could have done with some actual lighting on my face too... But it's not quite so striking in the full motion clip.
Wow...posting grabs is...sweet.

Gaudry-- I dropped the Magic Bullet Buffalo preset onto it in FCP, then used the 3-way color corrector to pop it out a little more, and then dropped the "greyness" with brightness and contrast...
in other words...
I played around until I was happy.

In fact, ALL of this was play for me!

Sweet! I think it's an Esteban guitar...it really is my little brother's. My grandmother bought it from a TV infomercial. It came in a very impressive package with it's own little amp and a nylon case. It's like a beginner's dream come true. And we shan't forget the fret poster and the instructional dvd...

And I'm glad that you don't think that J.C. is a joke.
