One Million Posts.

I had the perfect thing in mind to link to..... and now I can't find it in.
And yes, I'm using the search function.
:)

Anyone know where Barry's 10,000 post video went?
At least I think it was 10,000.... jeez...has it been that long?

That thing was awesome.

You sure about that? This is reaching pretty far back into dvxuser history, but, well, I think we can all agree that it's pretty gay:

:cheesy:

uggg...I might have to go and shoot myself now. Thanks Jarred for providing a great site that it seems like I have to visit at least twice a day.

I wonder how many of these million posts have started out with the phrase "How do I get the film look"

You'll find a lot of those videos referenced on the 1,000,000 special edition wallpaper on page 1 of this thread.

Everyone without lives, give yourself a big pat on the back! This is one hell of a community.

30,000 users eh! So if we each kicked in 100 bucks towards a movie...

We could actually create a very serious production fund!

2 years ago, when i joined i was a kid with no film knowledge, training or anything... i didint even have a DVX. But i kept reading and reading and learning and learning, then i started testing.... then after ifinihsed testing last year, i started working, and in a weird way, DVXuser.com was my film school, and it led me to the best job in the world in my eyes, being a Cinematographer. I would not be where i am today without this place.

Congrats everyone. I'd like to echo what Timur said. I still remember being a know nothing kid with a dream of making a movie. I posted one of those "what kind of lights should I buy" questions on another forum and somebody said "you need to go to DVXUser and do a lot of reading."

Now I own my own production company. Like many people on here this site was/is my film school and was more valuable to me than any "formal" education I've ever received.

It is this kind of magical posts that keep me and I think many others going and try to achieve our dream! This is a place which gives us hope, thats why so many people come here and join the big family. Some less, some more :D

I am still quite new here, but I feel more and more welcomed :) I hope to stay here for a very long time in my upcoming future of video production. Thank you all very much for your hard work!

Thanks Mikko, that was a fun trip down memory lane watching those videos. But there are some missing, we need to try and track them down. I know Coffee and Norm each did one, and I'm sure there were a couple others.

Ok, found Norms: http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=50858

Coffee's thread, but no video: http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=33093

Brandon's thread, no video: http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=45579

Blaine's: http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=59987

Awesome, one million posts. And only 315,456 of them are "What tripod should I get?" 456,378 of them are "What's the best 35mm adapter?" 187,946 or them are "What's that clunking sound?" and all the rest a little bit of camaraderie among filmmakers. I don't post here nearly as often as most people in the two years I've been registered, but I still feel like DVXuser is like a home and a film school. It's not just a message board, I say! It's a community consisting of a lot of great people who I infinitely admire and look up to. Here's to a million more. Cheers.

Never seen another message forum like this on the net anywhere. I am so glad I found DVXuser 2 years ago. I have learned everything I know about film making from all the people here. Here's to the next million!

Cheers!
