on very rare occasions I get weird movement in my footage. I uploaded a file to show you what I mean. This Phenomenom is also viewable during the shoot. I had this only a couple of times, when I unpower the camera and put it back on, everything is Hunky Dory again.
More people suffering from this? I really don't know what it is!!!

check it here:

Hmm never seen this myself. What it does look like is image stabilisation sticking. What lens, IS on?

Definitely the IS on the lens acting up. If you are on a tripod, IS should be turned off because even a lens with good IS will exhibit problems like this .

I don't usually see it to that degree but it looks like IS. Typically it creeps a little.....not so jumpy. Good Luck.

thanks for your reply's. If it occurs again, I will set the IS to'off' to see if that makes a difference. I'll let you know!

Do you keep IS ''on'' even on a tripod? If so, always disable IS when on a tripod. The IS is trying to compensate for fast movement (shaking)....when on a tripod, it can (and surely will) make the image ''jump'' like it did in your video.

Don't wait for this to happen again before switching it to ''OFF''. Tripod (or monopod, jib, etc.): IS ''off'', handheld: IS ''on''.

Some lenses have a two position switch for IS. My Canon 70-200mm f/4 has a second IS setting that is horizontal correction only. I have found that it helps to smooth pans on a tripod without any of the jerks.
