OFFICIAL A1 Custom Presets thread

Yes, this preset is quite special and has been created to enter the grading suite.
Strong colors are still quite strong, the other colors seems greysh, but they are not lost, instead retained. They are hidden and now i explain you how to valorize them.

Using FCP Color Corrector, select only colors with low saturation, pump the saturation a bit and choose the tint of your shadows, highlights and mid tones. This is a fantastic way to control the look of your footage and create different tints of different tones, but , and this is important, without compromising strong colors like red, blue and green, and the sking color.
I add a screenshot of a typical cc setting

This preset is quite dark. you need a lot of light for it.

Yes this is just the best i got out of the A1
Here a link with original footage, and 2 different CC done in FCP.
Just the best setting i made. And the latest. I suppose that will spend no more time finding settings.
This is it, this is perfect for me.

Great preset. I've tested it with Xha1+letus, looks very good outdoors !!
Have you got the same for low light situations ?

Thanks

Hi, you got some pretty awsome presets in this thread and perhaps you can help me to find a good preset which offers as much image information as possible for post.

Do you know some great (or the best) presets for post production? I've found a preset from the BBC called "ADDENDUM 25" and a Preset called "S-Log 04". Also the Vision X seems to be a great preset, perhaps the best of those but it's very dark, so difficult to use in low light situations.

Do you know some more with pro and cons?

I Just need a very noise free image and as many color and contrast information as you can get out of the xh-a1. normaly thoses images looking very flat but they are great for some advanced color correction.

Perhaps the Vision X and an another one for low light and i got what i need?

Does this interest any of you? Having received so much from the DVX users I was thinking of giving something back if it's needed. Would all of you like to have an online database of these presets? I could quickly create a page where you can input the data and give it a name and then add it to a download-able file for you to put into your camera. Let me know if this has been done somewhere else and/or if you desire it to be built?

Cheers,
Brian

That would be awesome!! -JP

Vision X is one of the best presets. But for low light, I just modified it by changing to Gamma 1.

I sent the data to my programmers who will study what it takes to actually make a .cpf file for output. If that is easy then the rest is a piece of cake. Will update soon.

yes it would be i found a link once on another site dvinfo and it had a bunch of presets it would be nice if they were all in one place that you could download and copy them onto a card that could then be sent to the camera
