C500: Odyssey 7Q With The Canin C500

I have one 512gb and one 256gb Mainly shooting 2k worth picking up another 256 or 500gb?

Excited to shoot with the camera.. Just need some good GTECH Raids now.

I mostly use a Wooden Recorder Slide for the O7Q on 15mm rods and an Anton Bauer battery on the back of that slide to power both C300mk2/C500 and the O7Q.

However, sometimes I use the older Canon BP batteries (NOT the newer BP-A) to power the O7Q separately. What I find really annoying about that setup is that the display have to dim down during record when in the most power hungry modes. If you choose a 12V system the display won't dim during record. If you use some of the modes that require more power I've found the 3rd party batteries to be a bit too stressed (Even more so if I use them inside the C500). Canon's originals seems to fare better. If your setup is in the less power hungry modes, it works ok with Canon batteries. F.ex. if I'm just using the O7Q for monitoring the Canon BP battery will last a long time, particularly the 970, and there's no dimming in f.ex. HD ProRes mode. The bracket that Convergent Design sells for Canon BP power is a bit flimsy, so I've been using a velcro strap to hold the battery in place more firmly.

i wonder if some one could post a file example few seconds maybe (1 min would be perfect) in length .... so that who is considering c500 with recorder , like i am, could play around in Editing software....
