Wasn't really sure where to put this, but I guess this'll do. If a mod has a better spot, by all means...

probably something like the fs100/af100.
probably 4k sensor, 1080p output, with the XF codec.

4k term is a real marketing hype.

Big sensor with xf codec would be attractive to a lot of people here. Specially to those who complain of the lack of 422 codecs.

Baesd on previous facts, this could be a pl mount lens. I remember canon announcing a pl lens last time

Now panny just needs to have something next NAB. Avc long-g 422 10 bit 25-50mbps please

I seriously can't imagine a camera like a new DSLR or some sort of hybrid that gives an image like the XF300/305 series using the same codec and a big sensor. It would be insanely good. Canon is the only company for me personally that knocks it out of the park with their products. Best cameras I've ever owned across the board.

Odds are if it's a hybrid type camera or a new DSLR...I'm in. I trust the company.

Canon Rumors states that it is very likely an announcement about their strategic partnership with Ron Howard on a specific project. May not be a camera announcement at all.

Yep, forgotten about faxing....

So....

A networked printer / photocopier / scanner / fax.

boring, boring business stuff :kali:

They did not say it was very likely. It says that a reader sent in that it could be about the Ron Howard partnership. In fact Canon Rumors says "I expect something new and exciting for the cinematographer."

Maybe they took to heart my e-mail that I take more photos than phone calls on my cell phone. Maybe it's a phone / dslr combo.

inb4 link to that stupid rig that connects lenses to iphones.

There's some rumours floating around about a lower megapixel full frame DSLR and I'm thinking that could be what we're going to see announced on Nov 3rd and here's why-

-Pro cinematographers have been hounding Canon for a DSLR form factor not a hulking big 4k video camera. If we want 4k we can shoot RED. What we desperately want/need is a PRO HDSLR and Canon has known about the demand for one for a long enough time to develop one.

-I don't think Canon has a 4k camera ready to go yet given their slow development history.

-The lower megapixel rumour makes perfect sense. Less megapixels means better low light sensitivity and less of a problem dealing with aliasing and moire.

-What I'm suggesting is that the 5DMKIII is not going to be for us. It will be more like what Canon intended the MKII to be, a pro studio photographers and enthusiasts tool with a higher megapixel count. That leaves this new lower megapixel full frame DSLR "6D? " for us, sports photographers, and photojournalists. A Nikon D3s on steroids in a weathersealed 5D body.

-The market for a $2000-$3000 PRO HDSLR is huge and there is currently no competition. The market for a $5000-$15000 S35 video camera is small in comparison and already catered for by Sony and Panasonic. If I was the marketing VP at Canon I know what I would have been putting my resources into since the 5D went to the movies. Why would they ignore their new found HDSLR market?
