Not really, the F65 is still doing some very cool work on big productions that can handle it (Like Ang Lee's new 4k 120fps film) and the F5 and F55 are finally becoming firmly established cameras in TV (the F55 in narrative and the F5 in reality/lifestyle).
And I get the impression Sony has finally learnt a bit of a lesson from Arri about lengthening their product cycles for pro gear, so that people who buy in can get a decent return on their investments.

I think Sony has a pretty good buzz going with F55 right now, not sure about F65 for features but surely more bigger budget features would utilize the F65 over the F55.. or shoot with both.
Sony said a month ago no new CineAlta camera's for NAB - and looks like they kept their word.
What realistically would have improved upon what's available today from the F55 & F65?

F65 wasn't even displayed at the Sony booth this year. I asked the Sony rep why and he said the camera wasn't popular last year so they filled its spot with more broadcast centric cameras.
it looked like Sony had just declared doing a firmware update for REC2020 on the F55 was good enough (even though its various cinema modes obviously encompasses that). Its kinda funny how the big thing this year is "HDR," when the cameras have been capable of that for a long time, as have many of the UHD displays.
So Dennis, starting to feel better about your F55 ?
i hope so, I still think it's a darn good camera.

I still fancy new technology, so I foolishly put $500 down on Craft Camera reservation. I can afford for it to be sh!t, I have one good camera already.

They need to introduce Prores recording AND a better post flow or they will never get the F65, or its next version, of the dark. Prores 444 on Arri's is so good many productions are using it over raw these days. Post rules camera purchases for most. Imagine if Red had started out that way? instead they are and will remain a far 2nd to Arri. Sony needs to get out of that insane codec thinking.

If they'd just come out with a new recorder that took the front end of the F65 and pushed it through their AXS-R7 technology, and gave the option for ProRes recording (in all framerates and resolutions) in addition to Sony Raw - all of which could be ingested through a simple USB-3 card reader like the F5(5) - they would completely give the F65 a new life (and a mammoth amount of appeal over where it currently stands).
