No Audio in Compressor...?

Hey everyone,

I'm using Compressor for the first time after attending a seminar at the Apple Store this weekend, and all's going well (I think) except that after I turn my video into an MPEG-2 file, I have no audio. Am I doing something wrong with the settings? I looked for a tab or marker that says "Audio Settings" or something along those lines, but there I can't find anything. I would really appreciate any help to get my audio; the video looks great, by the way.

Thanks in advance,
Trigonis

You have select an audio preset for either Dolby2 or aiff in Compressor.

But your question isn't clear. Are you trying to create a mixed mpeg2 file where the video and audio are self contained, or simply encode DVCProHD footage to elementary streams for creating a DVD?

I assume you are selecting one of the MPEG2 presets from the menu.

Audio is not included in that MPEG2 wrapper, the audio audio is encoded independently.

Where you select the video setting, you must also select an audio setting, either AIFF or Dolby 2.0 if I remember correctly. I'd go with Dolby 2.0. Select that, change the settings if need be, and hit submit.

I then compile the video and audio track in DVD Studio Pro.

Hope this helped.

Thanks for the tip. I actually stumbled upon that myself an hour or two after I submitted this thread. Yeah, I used Dolby 2.0 and it works wonderfully. Thanks again for the response.
