Hi, i'm looking for a nice wide angle nikkor 18mm 2.8 or nikkor 20m 2.8 for my canon 60d.

I already have a :
28mm 2.8 E series
50mm 1.8 AIS

Which one do you suggest me ? Thanks in advance
Have a good day

if you're on APS-C, those won't be that wide. I don't think there were very many really great 20's in the Nikon lineup, but some research would give you the scoop. Almost zero FOV difference between those two lenses, I'd research which is the sharpest with the least distortion - distortion at those FOV's can be pretty bad.

If you're on a tight budget, look into wide zooms from Tamron, Sigma, etc - some very nice glass out there that will give you a range of framing options.

you are right. My father has a lens sigma 10-20 f3.5-4 its not very bright and its for nikon.
I would need an adapter. Do you need which one ? (not the same as the redrock nikon to canon i presume. There doesnt seem to have an option to disamorce the automatic exposure on the lens. It needs the body of the camera in order to disamorce the automatic exposure i think. is it possible ?)

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sigma-10-20...889?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1e9bcf11e1 (this lens, but i would need an adaptor for canon)

My redrock adapter from nikon to canon wouldnt work since i cant control the autoexposure on the lens (its an automatic lens)???

I am not sure how it works. thanks in advance

For Nikkors on Canon, any cheap adapter will work if the lens has an aperture ring - in fact they're so cheap, when I shot Canon I just kept the adapters on the lenses and used Canon rear caps for video shoots; for newer Nikkors without the ring, you need an adapter with aperture control, never used one though - I don't think any auto functions will work though.

For video, I've never used any auto functions… if my camera is on a crane, sometimes I use AF to set the initial focus point (with a Nikon body and Nikon lens) since I can do that with the wired remote. For stills, I use AF all the time though. But I really prefer an aperture ring vs. a control on the camera, too old-school I guess.
