MultipleFest could have a spin off called 24Fest.


Filmmakers have to thread 8000 storylines together except none of the threading storylines have to make sense. You can just nonsensically juxtapose random scenes with eachother. Followed soon after by Soap Fest.

well to be honest a lot of films already appear to have been mixed up with Soap fest. SO ON TO FUTURE FEST!!!!
 
Oooh. That could be EpisodeFest... where you take your idea and break it into either 3 two minute COMPLETE episodes, or six one minute episodes.

All with a beginning, middle and end.

NEXT GENRE is cool because it stimulates a filmmaker to go beyond the conventional styles and attitudes that most movies get categorized in.

The short form of a minute or so is also good, alone or as versions or episodes, it fits the internet way of looking at stuff.

And the idea of weaving things together, training ourselves to come up with intricate web ideas of interrelated events is wonderful.

A lot of good stuff in the crowd here.

Hmmm. So that's an idea for all of us "should have been longer/had to cut it down" type folk:

Make your 10 - 12 minute film and chop it in half. Submit BOTH films as Part I and Part II. Hope everybody votes for Part II, kind of like what the Academy did for Lord of the Rings.

Ok, I'll get back in my hole now before THEY beat me back with a stick.
 
I think the whole 2 part / trilogy idea is quite cool. I just hope someone can narrow down the options a little soon..
 
I wont be entering if it's going to be an episodic 2/3 split film fest. Just seems a bit gimmicky to me. I think the 6 minute length is good, so why change it? As someone pointed out previously, it would be cool to do a HalloweenFest to coinside with Halloween itself, this doesn't mean to say that it's another horror fest, just that it has to be set at Halloween, could be a drama,comedy,horror or any combination. I just think it would be fun to incorporate all of the visual elements of halloween into a film, ie, pumpkins, bats, blood, kids in costume, spooky music, trick or treat etc.

I also liked an earlier idea of HitchhikerFest, but to make this more broard, how about RoadFest? A Road movie could be about hitchikers too. This would give the film-makers a different test and get them concentrating on shooting in a different environment, and i've always wanted to make a movie set in a vehicle.
