The genre is open for exploration

It can be about anything under the spy umbrella (See Wiki)

Have fun with it; not everything has to be James Bond

Hmmmm... I had an idea I wanted to do and it would have been great for action or sci-fi. I don't really want to switch it up to fit with a spy theme. At the same time, I'd hate to sit out another dvx fest. I'll have to try and do something for this on the side.

Hopefully just ONE this time dude... I hope to shoot first week of March (seriously)
If you don't do a real one this time, I may just have to start calling you Kholi. :)

So, in effect, it's not SPY GENRE fest, it's SPYING ON SOMEONE fest. Right?

it's always about a theme rather than slavish adherence to a genre.
but the fellas like it if you hit some fav genre staples along the way
but you can flip things on their ear too.

Kholi's a good guy man, and has helped me out a lot in script notes, etc. I respect his opinion a lot, and count him as a friend. I also respect him for waiting to do something that he really wants to do, and won't just do something for the sake of doing it (like my attempted dramafest entry).

Agreed, also his reviews are book-worthy. I told him this time to start one thread so we can have them all in one place.

Yeah, I don't dog on Kholi, and I know his first project will be something he can be proud of, and it'll be a good product!

Thanks for all the kind words. Course, the product should speak for itself.

Ol' Blaine and Hudson don't bother me, I love them both. =)

I don't think Kholi needs you stepping in to protect him. We've (John, Kholi and myself) have been having a good hearted discussion on his need to jump into something. If you wish to insert yourself into this be my guest.

EDIT: Kholi, we posted at practically the same time...drats!!!

We're not limiting entries to cloak and dagger, but the theme is spies and spying. As always, we hope for some creativity and I try to keep things pretty open. If you have a question about whether your story is appropriate, just shoot me a PM.
