Exactly. The cameras need to be together under commun mount, as that is the most important aspect (lenses, adapters) . There could be sub forums for more important cameras, but there should be some logic behind the top level organization. A "DSLR" is illogical category as the camera isn't even a DSLR (no OVF for example).
Apparently some think anything that looks like a "DSLR" is a "DSLR" even if it isn't.
You may not have realized, but other mirrorless cameras are discussed in that section as well. The GH series in particular stands out as an example of a "technically non DSLR" that still belongs there. Really, the section started off all about Canons that shoot video, but we all know they are no longer the only game in town, so the section is really all about affordable stills cameras that happen to be useful as video recorders. The A7s definitely falls into that category just as much as the GH4 does, which has quite the discussion going on there. Not one person has complained about this being the wrong section, as if it should go in the same section as the AF100.
To be perfectly honest, I always felt like the NEX7 and 5, etc, really deserved a section there too. There is no Sony representation in the small camera section, and those in that market don't know to find it here. I've gotten requests from users asking why we "hate Sony" because there isn't a section there for them, even though the GH, Canon, and Nikon all do. I know it's hard to see this objectively because you are part of this section in the forum, but if you look at the big picture I think you'll see that it doesn't really make much sense for Sony to be the only exception. I'm under the impression that this started as an oversight (not many fans of Sony stills cameras being used for video back then), and it's been left alone long enough to have created this mess. I'm ultimately not in charge of how the forum is organized (I'm only a section moderator) but this doesn't make any sense to me and it really feels like we are doing a disservice to the community at large leaving it like this. I'm telling you, people don't know the cameras are being discussed here, they think it's all about the FS class of video cameras, and the still shooters must not be popular enough to warrant their own discussion. I don't think that's the case at all.
