FS7: New Sony PXW-FX9 with venice features and 6k full frame

I tried to google but couldnt find anything... What happens if you use S35 lenses on the FX9? Would love to jump from FS7 to FX9 with my Fujinon cine zooms... heavy vignetting? Can you shoot 6k and have 4k without vignetting?
it seems like there arent too many full frame lens choices besides primes?

It has s35mm crop mode.. some s35mm lenses will cover a FF sensor.. longer focal length more likely to.. they are selling with a kit FF Sony zoom.. but f4 and fly by wire focus and zoom.. stills lenses there are many .. there is a Sigma FF zoom I believe .. or the new Sony FF cine zooms coming out.. probably the best choice for AF.. but seems to be around $5-6,000..cheap by cine lens standards .. but half the price of the whole camera !

Interesting... Alister Chapman said to forget using AF on the FX9 with an adapter or 3rd party lenses. Bloom seems to be doing fine with the Sigma. Maybe that's a firmware update.

That aspect of Bloom's video caught my attention too. A Sigma rep told me they haven't had their hands on the FX9 yet, but if a firmware update was necessary for compatibility they'd be on it. I don't expect a firmware update for the Sigma lenses until late January or February at the earliest. I'm looking forward to trying out all my EF Sigma glass + MC-11 adapter once my FX9 arrives. Looks functional already in Bloom's video. After a firmware update I expect they'll perform just as well as they do on my A7iii -- which is outstanding.

Of course I'd expect native Sony glass AF to perform ever so slightly better, but I prefer the look of my Sigma ART lenses anyway.

If it matches the FS7 but has AF - it could be great.

S35 I guess - but then maybe not - I cant remember the last time an S35 camera was launched.

The rumors regarding the Fx6 have it as being full-frame. I've never seen any rumor saying it will be s35.

In one of the interviews with Sony people from IBC, one of them said that the reasoning for the change from FS to FX was to indicate full frame. If that is true the FX6 should also be full frame.
And an FS5 style camera with the FX9 sensor and AF would be amazing.

This is what I'm waiting to find out about... for sure before purchasing the FX9... full frame doesn't interest me that much...

Doug - you are most likely correct...that's my assumption as well. Will be interesting to see exactly how it stacks up, however, to the FS7
