Since my FS5's monitor is so small and low res, I haven't relied on a camera's LCD for focus or exposure in years. I'm used to the SmallHD 702 bright and Inferno. I'm curious to see how much my eyes trust the FX9 LCD.
With the FX9 you trust the AF!Since my FS5's monitor is so small and low res, I haven't relied on a camera's LCD for focus or exposure in years. I'm used to the SmallHD 702 bright and Inferno. I'm curious to see how much my eyes trust the FX9 LCD.
What's the issue with the FS7's loupe that people are afraid will bother them with the FX9?

Actually I’m already doing that to some degree with my FS700. So I’m expecting it to be very doable with the FX9.hahaha to trusting the AF.
Exactly - spend more than 10k.. you should be buying a friend.. a tool that is on your side. A pleasure, something that makes one walk taller. Not something that turns the AF off just when you really need it, something that twists your neck.
Either you like the feel of the camera handheld or you don't. I happen to have no problem at all with my FS7 even on long days shooting handheld with a heavy Zeiss 15.-45 LWZ on the front and an XDCA and Anton Bauer XT batteries on the rear for balance. I also have a Zacuto Universal Baseplate with VCT mounting plus 15mm rods and one OConnor O-grip. I don't need a grip for my left hand as it is busy focusing, adjusting exposure, etc. What's the deal with people wanting a grip for their left hand?
I have no problems with comfort and no extension is necessary for the viewfinder. It feels fine to me and I have never visited a chiropractor. I don't expect anyone else to agree, I've just voicing my personal experience. However with that said, do I prefer the ergonomics of a true ENG camera like the Z450 or Z70? You're damn right I do.
