New Short Film!

MTV had a contest to win an MTV Movie Award live on stage for best movie spoof. My 2nd year trying out, stil to no avail. I'm hollering racism this time around. But that's neither here nor there.

Point IS that I haven't posted a video on DVX user in AWHILE. ALOT has happened to me. I moved from Detroit to Los Angeles, I'm working on a pilot for an MTV sketch comedy show with Kel Mitchell and Cedric The Entertainer. Good Stuff.

Anywho, I've been on DVXuser for a little over two years now. And I'll admit, when I first started I SUCKED. You guys tore me to pieces. Matter of fact, you guys still do, and it's funny, looking back on my work, I can see why. But I've gotten better and I want to know how far you guys think I have to go. So check out my new 'I Am Legend Mock' and tell me where I went wrong. Thanx!

That was great. The tiger part was priceless. I wish you shot the opening car shots with a crane, tripod and car mount, it would have been sweet cause those would make some nice camera moves if they were nice and smooth. you actually did a good job doing it hand held though

this is a big improvement from your earlier work. keep pushing yourself.

by the way, how did that presentation to investors go? i remember you talking about it several months ago, but never heard anything about how it went.

I love this website. You guys feel like family related by marriage so far down the line that I only see on the holidays, but still family, none the less!

Anywho, cousin ugafan, it went TERRIBLY. One of the top 3 worst nights of my life. Only about 50 people showed. No investors. I didn't have to invite any. I know EVERYTHING I did wrong though and I'm giving it another run this December in LA. With an arsenal of new short films. Because this is the last year that I'm going to be doing them. On to Feature length, red shot productions!

I like how you said you're hollering racism. hah. that should have at least gotten you to place.

by the way who won?

Why we weren't chosen.

Why we weren't chosen.

I don't understand this seeing as I said it AFTER people were 'placed' (If that means making it as a nominee)

But seriously, there were OVER A DOZEN films to chose from. OVER A DOZEN! And HALF of them mocked 'No Country For Old Men'. And if THAT isn't bad enough, they all mocked the SAME SCENE! Something about a coin toss and 'friendo'. I never saw the movie, but I'm guessing he was a hot character. ALL of the films were white made/casted also. (Yes, even the insulting, confusing and uninteresting short about the black migit... WTF was THAT about? Regardless, it wasn't batter than ours)

So after getting feedback from everyone that our film was funnier and had a better plot than ALL SEVEN of the nominees, I have no choice but to pull the race card with this one guys, sorry.

how do you know its not because they knew people with MTV, could've been rigged. Most of them are, its usually the kid of someone who "made a great film at such a young age" and it turns out they're too old to be making such amateur crap.
