Hello dvxusers. I'm a longtime lurker and rank amateur film maker, but have found this site to be an invaluable source of information. Today I hope to join your community.

Thanks for having me.

Hello everyone.

Hello everyone.

Hello,

I am happy to have stumbled on this forum site. I build theatrical props and sets as well as signage. I have worked in the film industry a few years back with another company but not as Scenic Art Productions. I have been mainly working doing theme park and attraction work but have wanted to get back to doing film work as well. I am working on a website but until that is up you can check out my company Facebook page at: http://www.facebook.com/scenicartproductions to view photos and get info on my company. I look forward to talking with you soon.

I am a member of the haunted attraction forum "Hauntworld" and it is laid out just like this. Is this ran by the same people?

Thank You,
Robert Travis

Hi there, I've lurked on this site for a while, but thought I should join properly now. I'm an experienced stills photographer and just bought a 600D/T3i for doing some video/filmmaking stuff, so thought I might come and join in the discussions now!

Seems everytime I Google something on film making this forum shows up, so It only makes sense to join officially. Hello, and thanks for putting this together.

Hi, I'm new to the site. I LOVE FILM. That's the first thing you must know about me!

My background: I'm a filmmaker originally from Austin, Texas, currently based in New Zealand. I'm a second-year English/Anthropology undergraduate at the University of Auckland and have been writing and directing short films since August 2011, although I've been doing script critiquing/judging/writing for nearly three years in Texas.
Currently I'm directing my first feature.

I joined DVXUser to be a part of this film community and learn from the expertise of other people as obsessed with filmmaking as I am. I look forward to getting to know you!! :)

If you have any questions, please feel free to shoot me a message! Otherwise, I hope to be posting on the forum soon!

My there are a lot of people here... I didn't expect to be intimidated by a forum. Haha oh well here goes.

Hello Everybody! My name's Alex Echevarria and I am a aspiring filmmaker who is still in high school and is currently in the middle of the whole college selection process. I'm eager to learn as much about filmmaking as humanly possible so I decided to join this forum that I've been lurking on for quite awhile now.

Cheers!

Hey, Alex. Welcome to DVXuser. Kind of a crazy time with all the NAB stuff going on...

Hope you find some useful info from 'user.

Speaking of filmmaking. You should jump in and join the upcoming DVXFest. It's free, open to everyone, and we usually have some pretty cool prizes from our site sponsors to give away.

Current Fest is here, and it is just getting under way. I haven't even had time to post the official rules yet :)

Hello folks,

I'm currently a film student, my background is primarily in animation. I run the animation forum BricksInMotion.com. I'm here looking to learn some things in preparation for my next film, which will be live action, a medium I have worked in but not as much as I would like.

Working with the Alexa for going on two years now.

Cheers All and Hello again.

Hello everyone,

I just bought my first mirrorless camera in the form of the NEX-5N. I have previously owned canons (MKII, S90), and I am very pleased with the size and capabilities of the Sony
