Finally shooting my first indie feature trailer for investors group. No longer just screenwriting. Film is dead.
Thank God for the digital world! Content creator right to the global audience!

I think I may have introduced myself, but as I age like a fine wine, simple stuff grows fuzzy. Vince here. Just wanted to say how damn fortunate I feel being turned on to this site by Robert Magness over at EVS. I've really gained a bounty of incite and knowledge by reading the forums. I'm looking to purchase an AF100 and can't believe how helpful everyone is, and how eager they are to share their experience. It's a good community and I'm proud to say I'm a part of it. Hopefully I'll be a productive part. I'm getting ready to shoot a short film, so wish me luck.

Hey all. Names Reuben, been around for many years but 99% of the time I spend on forums is reading, posting once every new moon (oh hey new moon tomorrow i'm a bit early.) Anyways I have been coming to this site for years (thinking at least 08) and was browsing around the new site when I came across this thread. I've bought and sold items here, as well as the light and sound DVDs. This is my favorite online forum - people are knowledgable friendly and trustworthy. Best of all - no trolls on this forum from what I've seen.

Hey guys,

My name is Nick, and I am really interested in learning about shooting/editing videos and everything in between. I will be purchasing a Canon T3i very soon and I am very excited. This is all very new to me so I am here to learn, network and have fun! I'm not quite sure how to use this site yet but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it soon. Have a great day! :)

Hi,

My name is David Walton and I've been rolling the production rock up the hill for about 19 years. I work mainly as a Director / Producer but I still DP when it's an interesting lighting project. I continue to learn something new from every lighting experience. Lately, I've been shooting with the new Sony F3 with Zeiss primes and I'm loving the image for such a small, inexpensive camera. As far as equipment goes, it's a great time to be in production.

Cheers!

I've been doing digital video for over a decade, and for the last 5 years creeping towards doing it full time . I've filmed and edited many events and promos, a few weddings and have developed several educational/documentary series for/with my wife and the university. -- I've yet to make a dime doing any of it.

We're currently looking at what equipment expansion we'll need to achieve the level of production we are capable of. It's the same old game, more hardware needed. We're focused on adding a pair NEX-FS100's and more production gear. It gets expensive fast and I hope we can get what need.

I've been reading here for quite sometime and more so the last month as I've been doing my research.

Toby here, been reading the forum for a while but hoping to join in a bit more and actually have the ability to contact people!

Hello forum, my name is Andy Franck. I'm a long time photographer who, like so many in my field, was gearing up to explore opportunities in video capture. However, last year I accepted a full-time position that will have me sticking with still photography for the foreseeable future. I have enjoyed playing with video and feel like I have learned a lot and come a long way in a relatively short time.

To be honest, a big part of the reason I've registered here is to try to take advantage of the FS/WTB forum to sell off some of my kit that won't be earning me money like I originally expected it to (though I'll be keeping some basics to have something to play with from time to time).

Beyond that, I'm glad to have found a great community to keep on top of what is now going to be a solid hobby. If nothing else, I'll be making some killer home movies of the kids.

-Andy
