Trust me, there's no one here who understands less than I do about cameras and any of the technology of all this arena. However, I'm trying to learn and I read a lot. As an old geezer, much of this is vocabulary. I figure that I can absorb wisdom if I hang out long enough. Thanks to all who share of their expertise.

New here. Looking to get an hmc40 and learn how to get the most out of it. Shot a few edits off a cheap tripod I found in my parents garage like 7 years ago with an HG10.. the footy is good but after watching literally thousands of edits on Vimeo I've decided it's about time to upgrade. Riding skills are progressing so so is the filming. Excited to try and find a good deal and start shooting when the weather warms up!

I've been reading the posts on DVXuser.com a lot over the last year. I recently purchased my first Panasonic camera, an HMC150, and Barry's HMC book. I've been living and working in the hospitality and corporate event audiovisual industry in Denver for the last five years, but I also lived in LA where I worked in television production for three years which is where I first used the DVX100b back in 2004. I'm interested in all aspects of video and hoping to find a community of Panasonic users in Colorado to collaborate with.
 
Hi Jason! Kurkabee here. Will be looking for info on Panasonic AG-DVX100B and looking for a Tinsley fisheye lens -- for starters ;-) Nice site!
