New Hague Steadicam for DSLRs. Should I take the risk?

Hague released a new steadicam strickly for DSLRs http://www.b-hague.co.uk/hague_dslr_motion_cam_camera_steadicam_stabilizer.htm
not to long ago. Im trying to figure out if I should get this one or just the regular MMC. I have the t2i and will probably be using it with a tamron 17-50mm vc lens so I believe it passes the weight requirement. Should I take the gamble on this new steadicam?

What does this mean? Ill prob be shooting on the 17mm side of things so a ff prob wont be needed. Also why make a $200 stabilizer when this is only $156?

At current rates, £128 = $199.
I was calling this a "DIY" stabilizer.


My comment about Follow Focus simply states that though stabilizers are cheap, you (anyone reading) have to remember to consider the other tools to go with them. Sounds like you have a plan though.

Oh ok. Yea i wish I could shoot with a 50mm 1.8 or something but I know that will be borderline impossible (on any steadicam for that matter) if its just me lol
