New FCP due in spring

I'm pretty sure the event was going to be streamed live before Apple muscled their way in. So now we're not only not going to see Kevin Smith talk, Philip Bloom, etc....because Apple kicked 'em out, then Apple isn't even going to stream anything.

I think the fact that Apple always live streams any and everything they release is why some people are upset that they decided to not do it for the FCP tonight.

They didn't live stream the iPad 2 release, among many other events that were anticipated by a lot of people.

Guys, please no profanity or veiled profanity.

Keep the comments civil, and professional.

Comments about Apple, good or bad, inevitably leads to arguments that contribute nothing but noise.

Keep the comments about the rumored release of an updated Final Cut Studio, and not about real, perceived, rumored, or conspiratorial theories about the company whether they are good or bad.

Thanks

Final Cut X

I bet it will be more like the new iMovie then FCP 7.

I'm hoping for native iPad connectivity but I doubt it. More multitouch support would be great.

I hope it is available as a boxed version and a App Store version.

Hopefully it will be able to use more cores and edit Avchd natively. DVD studio will not be updated with bluray instead it will be dropped all together.

Maybe Phenomenon will be shown or at least the new Motion will have more Shake like features.

Video comes and goes. The guy must be sneaking a peek with his phone cam when the Apple police aren't looking.
