New F3 Firmware Upgrade for Dual Link RGB, S-Log......

Few would have thought a 4:4:4 S35MM solid-state camera for less than $25k was possible a few short years ago. This is another fantastic value that's going to drive the rest to give us even more and better options for cinema imaging.

Well if you need it, the KiPro mini is only $1900. It only draws about 15 watts which isn't much different than some 7" monitors so battery power isn't a big deal there either. We are looking at more like $16k with some good CF cards and of course without lenses, which I'll happily rent until a deal on a few S4's or SS's comes along. Not a better deal out there right now.

Is that $3500.00 the actual price or is it Sonys list price? Sony site lists F-3 at $16,000 and but it sells for $13,300.

Don't worry - I'm sure someone will be able to hack that and distribute it. Or maybe they will give it to you for free if you buy their high end solid state recorder?
