Looks like Canon just posted the new firmware on their Professional Imaging Products website. I downloaded and installed it on my C300. I haven't figured out how to access all the features, but it looks pretty great.

Any pleasant surprises on the C100 he says hopefully??

this is good timing as I have a week with lots of shooting coming up. Moving the Magnification zone will be amazing.

Update: Installed on my C100 and works well. Be warned - it completely resets the camera to factory default. I've also lost my favourites in the menu. Moving the magnification area is great!

How to move the center of magnification?on c100 ?? I tried all methods, joistik..It is an activation in the menu?

thanks

If you see the little grey box in the top right with another grey box inside it, you've got the lens switched to AF. Switch it to MF and the inner box goes orange - and now you can bump it around the screen with the joystick.

It just worked after install on my C100... no menu settings needed... did you install the latest firmware found on this page ? (Version 1.0.2.1.0.0)

I can't seem to get ISOs above 20000 since the install. Maybe it needs to be enabled in the menu?

Has anyone tried the higher ISOs to see how usable they are?

Have any noise levels in the other ISOs changed as a result?

You will need to enable 'Extended' gain/ISO before use - Camera menu, ISO/Gain, Extended Range - ON.

Note, the ISO mode goes up to the monster ISO 80,000 setting (!!!) whether you use 1/3 or full stop increments. Gain goes up to +24dB in 'Fine' increments, but to +42dB in Normal increments. I've yet to shoot at these astronomically high gain settings but will give it a go as soon as I can. (says he, fiddling with the camera whilst an edit waits to be finished off).
