New ALL DVX reel!

Thanks a lot ryvac! If you wanna buy me one, I will gladly accept. I think they would lower my shooting efficiency greatly. Yes you can get ridiculous shallow depth, but I would rather get a dolly, or save the money.

Will, there's no question about ur work. its tight ! :) BUT...for the reel i think you spent 2 much time (shots) on one story (or video) instead of switching them every couple of shots...you know what i mean? More variation, example how it started with 2 shots from one then switched to the other vid. 2 shots mite be 2 quick so maybe every 4 shots u change (just throwing ideas out) .After a while it became kinda boring for me (AS A REEL). So what i think (just my opinion) is that u mix it up a bit more ...and even throw in ur older work, cuz u have some REALLY good work IMO to really bring out the reel. As it stands now it looks like a heavy metal music video reel with a narrative thrown in and ur much more than that. Howver if it was for a heavy metal music video reel it still needs to be mixed up more to give it variation.

oh yeh ...the camera movement at 1.20 is SICK!!

Thanks jambredz, you always give quality criticism. I am gonna make another cut and make it way faster, with more variation. I didn;t incorporated older stuff because I wanted a 16:9 upload, and all my other footage is 4:3 letterbox. I dunno how good 4:3 letter box put into 16:9 is gonna look. Plus all my 4:3 stuff is cut on premiere pro, and they are avi, and now I cut in final cut and avi's don;t look as good in final cut. I dunno. I'll give it a shot.

oh well if thats the case then just use the same stuff with more variety in how its cut cuz u def got some sick shots in there... so more switching up wud be kool. it would still be good! actually..crazy thought...but since u have the bands u cud cut it like a battle between them. from one to the next!

edit : yow Will...i think Tommetass exported his past 4:3 work as 16:9 and it looked good to my eyes...u can ask him how he did it

Very exciting and energetic! I think you could make a girl scout troop look intimidating.

What was your shutter speed and how did you achieve the slo mo?

You are always helpful and inspiring, thanks.

Damn Dude.

You got skillz mutha ****a!

Hmmm.... Northern Cali....

Guess I gotta get up there and check you out.

I like that battle of the bands idea, I think i'm gonna run with that, and mix in some older stuff too.

Dr.Doug-I have clients say to my why is their video so dark, and I always ask them are they the "backstreet boys." They always look at my like i'm crazy, and I say that's why I don;t light you like them. My shutter is always changing, but most often is is really high like 1/500 or 1/1000. I expose with my shutter. The slow mo is 24pa and 50%slowmo with frame blending removed. I hope I can give something back to this forum that really is a great learning community. You guys taught me everything, and I still have lifetimes to learn more.
