New 7D firmware out this month

Cool. Hopefully those guys are speculating correctly that it is going to deal with aliasing. That'd be great. Does this also mean that the Magic Lantern hack can be ported now?
 
tramm's had a 7d in his hands for a lil bit but i don't think as soon as he gets the firmware that it will available the next day. its def going to be a work in progress i'm sure. but either way, i'm going to paypal that fool some money! can't wait to kill that AGC!
 
Yeah, but the 1dmark 4 (at the rumor site) is likely to be >$4000...in fact, I'd say it's a certainty given the price on the just-announced Nikon 3Ds. On the other hand, the latter goes up to ISO12400 and can be gain-boosted to 102400(!) and the new Canon is expected to do the same...cue a new generation of films lit only by the reflected light from the LCD display reflecting off the camera operator's face into the scene :cheesy:

^lol my next film will only be lit by my cellphone with a diffuser^
