Hey everyone, we finally got the 5600's in, These babies are the biggest cells you can buy.
4x the runtime of the standard 1600mah cell that comes with the DVX, and 200mah more
than the mighty $170 panasonic 5400's. The 5600's have a new label and a new
color.. DVXuser midnight blue. As always, DVXuser cost price for members is only $79.

thanks! the new 5600mah(s) got here about 15 min. ago. what a reflief.
I'm testing them now ( though not recording??is that a useless test? just want to see, without running the heads.)
 
heh heh.. you want to test how long they last or if you die when you put them in your mouth?
 
actually, I'm using dvx+teleadapter+monster batts for my workout today. need to build up the forearms for to be a steadicam op.

like the blue-tone color. what do we call this shade?
 
just wanted to let y'll know the test of the new 5600 mah is STILL GOING ON!!!

end of test. sorry all, somewhere between 4:06:00 and 4:23:00, the 5600 batt died. ( I was in the shower)

still pretty remarkable results!

Gah! Wish I'd seen this thread two days ago. If I'd known about the shirt, I would have ordered an extra batt just to get it. Oh well.
 
I was able to cancel my first order and then go back and buy the two-pack. Yay for free shirts! Thanks Jarred!

In the shower? Wow; you're brave...lucky the battery didn't take you out, too...

Got mine yesterday; coincidentally the quick-release heads from B&H arrived at the same time.

Between the extra weight of the battery, and of the quick-release hardware, I had to completely rejigger the balance on my stabilizer, and add *all* of the balance weights on the bottom...

...just when my arm was getting strong enough to handle the setup I had, now all the extra weight makes me feel like a total girly man (again).

Spent today shooting, and trading off hands to use the rig. Before long I'll be ambidextrous at it. Which wouldn't be a bad thing.

So the new batteries can make you ambidextrous! Will wonders never cease...?

Ok... I put the warnings on the back for a reason.

now rule #3 of battery club is do not submerge. If you do, sea monkeys will come out of the contacts and bite your toes off.
 
I'll be doing more tests sometime soon...just so you all know, the batts very convienently come charged, but the pre charge is only 75% ( according to Jarred Land, father of all dvxuser.com batteries..).

we used them this weekend and felt it was money well spent. while it may be hard to compare them against a batch of different battery brands and battery ages, the dvxuser.com batts are THE ONES we use when we need batts that don't give us grief. amen.
