New 100b , no clue how to use it

Ok so i just bought the dvx100B , but the problem is i have never touched a pro camera, i know nothing. I do not know what white balance means or anything i know how to turn it on and mess with the zoom in and out,,,where should i start to learn from???
 
-Stick the back dial on F5.

-Turn on Auto White Balance in the menu.

-Put it on Manual Zoom.

-Put it on Manual Focus.

-Shoot everyday.

In about 6 months your footage might be worth viewing...

...Oh yeah, and read everything you can get your hands on/find on the web.
