Need help selecting Canon Fd lens...

Yeah, the minimum shipping fee do tend to look expensive on lower cost items.

I just received my Canon FD 35mm SSC f2 lens and I don't have to adapter yet. But, has anyone noticed a slight tiny rattling when giving the lens a little shake? Anything to worry about?

my 24mm 2.8 does that...not sure what it is, but in my case, it doesn't affect performance.

Both my 50mm 1.4 and 20mm 2.8 are also solid with absolutely no rattle. But I did send them to a lens refurbisher for checking and cleaning and the 50mm needed aperture blade realignment. The 20mm needed nothing done.

well, thinking about it, and i'm not sure if it's related to the small rattle, but on my 24mm, i don't see a difference between f11 and f16, but i never stop down that much anyway. i have a faderND for that.

To add to my list, my 28mm 2.8 rattles but not the 50 1.4.

Mind doesn't have yellowing problems, I don't believe the 55mm f/1.2 FLs usually have that issue, I don't *believe* it has thorium elements...like the 35mm f/2...am I wrong?

Was the 55mm f/1.2 FL SSC also a radioactive lens? I know the 35mm f/2 SSC is..

I think the only 35mm SSC f2 that has thorium is the one with maximum apeture of f16.
