So I finally got the neat video plug-in, and I have to say, it's amazing.
All this footage was noisy as hell and was shot in very low light with the M2. I had to bring the levels up for the footage to be usable, but that introduced even more noise to already noisy as hell footage. I used neat video on almost every clip, and it does wonders with no noticeable resolution loss. If anything, it gives a nice smooth look to the image, which I really like. It opens up so many options now when it comes to making noisy HVX/HPX footage usable.
Every HVX/HPX user needs this plug-in! On my 2ghz dual core macbook with 2gb of memory, it took 40 minutes to render a little over 2 minutes of footage. Very reasonable.
