NBA Playoffs Thread

Nash not winning a championship has everything to do with the defense of the Suns...not the offense.

He is an all-time great PG because he revitalized the NBA with his playing style and won 2 MVP's because of it.

Nash's greatness is hard to measure 'cause he makes the speed he plays at seem easy. His body control and stamina is ridiculous.

Name one point guard who could have filled his duties in the Suns's offense over the last 3-4 years and had them running on all those cylinders without having it collapse?

The defense is what kills the conversation with Nash. He size and petite body frame make it real difficult for him to excel defensively in the NBA.

Well said.

whats going on with Bean Town? Anybody else think they might not get past the 2nd round?.....that is if they even get that far.

Looks like Kobe wins the MVP. Nice to see a guy who actually plays Defense win it. Unlike Nowitski and Nash who never deserved it.

Never can tell.

They'll have to get past Cleveland or Boston in my eyes. They're 0 - 4 against those two teams this season.

I wouldn't mind seeing a Lakers Boston Finals with Boston punking them.

As boring as I think they are, you have to assume the Spurs are going to win it all. They're in that phase where they kinda forgo the regular season to be ready for the playoffs. New Orleans is the feel good team of the year and I'd love for them to win (they're up 1-0 as I write this) but the Spurs are just too tough.

Being a Kobe-hater, I both love and hate when the Lakers are in it. Hate because I have to watch them. Love cause I have someone to root against.

Totally. I feel the same way.

I miss the KINGS / LAKERS days

Can the Spurs bounce back from 0-2?

The Hornets are making them look old and tired.

Charles Barkley says the Hornets "Are just better."

Chris Paul is awesome. What is he like 5'7"? The ball looks like a beach ball when he has it. Doesn't he know he's too small to play in the NBA?

Go Hornets!

CP3 is taller than that. He's no Spud Webb or Bugsy Mogues. He looks small when surrounded by the trees in the NBA. Yes, he is an awesome player. Its no wonder he was the NBA's Rookie of the Year three seasons ago.

CP3 looks tiny but the weird thing is he doesn't really seem that fast the way small players usually are like iverson and Parker. It's more like he just knows how to find daylight. He darts here and there and finds an open space in the key and floats it in. His game is so efficient...

yeah Hudson, I was at that Lakers game when Horry hit the 3 at the buzzer. Everyone in the building jumped up but me. It was devastating.

I think it's so funny when people make the argument that the Spurs are old. The oldest teams always win the chamionship. I think in the Bulls last 4 championships, they were the oldest team in the league. Same with Houston after them. Go back and check it out. Most champions are in the top 5 oldest in the league.

I still think the Spurs will win the series (now down 0-2). So far they're mirroring the regular season, which is the home team won easily every time. So they'll win 2 at home. And then comes that 5th game, which is always tight. And the Spurs will find a way to squeak it out.

Game. Set. Match. (to bring up a tennis reference Hudson - just think, we're a few weeks away from the French Open and bringing up old arguments on if Federer is the best ever).
