I've been a Lakers fan for 10+years... looks like they have a shot this year! :thumbsup:

Currently watching what could b a huge upset, the Hawks/Celtics game!

Weigh in all!
 
Well Go Dallas, Lakers, Suns, Celtics, I really wish one of my teams could win soon(Dallas Mavericks, Dallas Cowboys, Memphis Grizzles, Rashad Evans (when he fights Chuck Liddell soon) Texas Rangers, Pittsburg Penguins, 50 cent damn it anybody can win and i'll be happy.

the Celtics and their lackluster style of play have proven them to be the Duds in these NBA playoffs... kind of reminds me of Dallas from last year....if they can't completely dominate a very weak 8th seed then there is no hope for them to win the title....i'm starting to doubt that they will get to the nba finals.

As for the west, the Suns are lifelong losers and won't advance, Lakers vs. Spurs in West Conference finals and I'm picking Cleveland to advance to the east finals......the other slot is open to detroit or orlando.
 
Im a lifelong hater of the spurs organization ever since their fallout with D. Rodman back in the day.

But time and again they continue to execute better then anyone in the league...aside from the lakers the Suns are the toughest matchup for the spurs and they disposed of them like day old trash. Gotta love Popovich's strategy of using the suns' Pick and Roll style against them. They definitely have Phoenix's number and will finish them off tomorrow. And this is supposed to be a Sun's team with an answer for the Spurs, so much for Shaq....what a joke of a trade.

I truly truly hate the spurs....but I still think they have the best odds of repeating, they are a better team then last year and we're basically playing possom all year. they even tanked a bunch of games this year on purpose so they could draw phoenix in the first round because they knew the sun's and their senior citizen point guard and decrepid center wouldn't stand a chance.

Very unlikely that they were intentionally tanking games because the western conference wasn't decided until the final days of the season. They could've drawn the Lakers just as easily and even in off years, no one wants the Lakers because Kobe Bryant can take over a game like no other player.

You're right though, the title goes through San Antonio.

Why do you think they're better this year?

Duncan is a year older and a 1/2 step slower. Bowen is 37. Finley is 62 I think. They're long in the tooth.
 
i think they're an improved team because the team has been together for so many years, and Ginoboli & Parker are even better this year. Duncan showed he can put up 40 if need be + you can put him down for 20 and 10 every night, In Addition they acquired Damon Stoudamire and Thomas, 2 major additions adding so much more depth to an already deep team.

My "tanking theory" is just that, but Popovich is the best in the game and strategizes like it was a chess match....so it would not surprise me at all. Look at the end of the season, the Spurs lost a handful of games by pretty big margins to teams they should have destroyed. It was all timing, they saw how the west was stacking up and wanted the Suns because they knew it'd be a guaranteed win. Not to mention it gets rid of their toughest matchup in the first round.
 
Even though right now it's looking not so good for the Celtics, I think they will pull it off in game 7. It's a shame they will let it get to game 7, but you gotta give it to the Hawks for having heart.

But I think it will be the Sixers and the Celtics for the East Finals... as crazy as it sounds.

As for the west, for some Reason the Spurs make me nervous, they are like the quiet storm, as long as the Spurs are still in it, I worry for the Lakers.

But my prediction will be Lakers & Celtics, with Lakers taking it in game 6.

Yep! Good one for the Lakes... however they played AWFUL defense in the third quarter, and Kobe had to turn it on late to pull it off.
 
well I got to say Dallas somehow is gonna win every game against the hornets (if not we need to fire the coach) and we're gonna be the lakers in 7 and we match up the best with the spurs and we're gonna beat them in 7 and play the cavaliers and beat them in 6. (let us pray)
 
Sweet NBA Fans I love b-ball I palyed in college for a year. I would love to see the Cavs or Celtics vs. Lakers for the finals!

I love this game.
 
the cavs vs lakers would be amazing (kobe vs lebron) but I'm still pushing for Dallas vs Cavs. Yes sir. I tell you what else would be good Spurs vs Celtics
