Why the Kobe hate man?

I'm a massive Kobe fan, in fact, others hatred for him makes me like him more...

Best player to ever play (aside from the obvious, Michael Jordan)

He's a fantastic basketball player, there is no doubting that, but he seems like a huge asshole off the court, there is also the rape allegations (and I've read the transcript from the interview the cops initially did with him and the alleged victim and there is a lot of stuff in that that makes him look like an extremely bad person).

But if your just judging him on the court than he is a great ball player, but somewhat selfish though.

I read all those transcripts too. Let's just say it was a VERY rainy day.

Hard to cheer for anybody that you think is so despicable as a human being. I think with Kobe, alot of the hate has nothing to do with basketball.

It's crazy how sports fans are willing to look past how much of an asshole a person is if they are on your team. Most are guilty of this, but with Kobe it
is even bigger..it's like a national phenomenon of disgust.

lol. Wow... I guarantee you that a LOT (didn't say all) of professional athletes have done some pretty terrible things... maybe even worse than Kobe, they just never got found out.

Yeah, I agree there probably is a lot of stuff that proffesional athletes do that never gets put out in the open and if we did ever hear about it we'd probably react the way a lot of people do towards Kobe.

If you've read those transcripts I think you'd probably look at him a little bit differently, there is some really nasty stuff in there that really questions the guys character. That's probably the main reason why I don't like him as a person, but as I said, on the court he's an awesome basketball player, there is no denying that. For me there's a huge difference with someone being charged with a drug offense that I could forgive than someone being charged with rape (and one he probably should have been tried for too).

A great talent, one of the best..

Even Kobe's teammates think he's an arse. :undecided Dude has no class not too mention the infamous KISS IT incident. If he had just an ounce of class I
d respect him, but he doesn't. He's a whining prima donna.

Still a great talent though, can't deny the facts.

That being said, number 2 ever ? Are you kidding me ? I need my best players to play both ends of the floor.

I'd put many a player ahead of bryant if building my dream team; Bird, Magic, Barkley, Hakeem, Lebron, Robertson, Thomas, Duncan, KG ..

Sheeeet

Mentioning Kobe and Jordan in the same breath is blasphemy when thinking of all the other greats.

It's hard to rate the best players over different eras. Back in the day, Kobe wouldn't have been quite as potent with the much more physical defensive rules.

No denying how crazy good he is, though.

I hope they meet up with the Spurs. Might be the best chance they have to lose.

I sure am!

As you know, the Hornets called Oklahoma City home for the last two seasons and I was part of the camera crew for their home games during that time. I operated the "chase" camera on about 80 NBA games during that time. I had a blast and was able to watch several big names come and play against our "adopted" team.

Once, as I was walking out to the production truck, I opened the door and Shaq was standing there about to walk in. I had to tilt my head waaay back to see his face as he is just that freaking huge when he's standing only two feet away.

Anyhow, Chris Paul is an awesome player and an equally awesome person who did many good things for our community while here. Suffice to say, I'm a fan.

no surprise as the Suns once again lose to the unbeatable spurs. Nash can't cope with pressure and is destined for a career of dissapointments....every time the game is on the line he chokes and makes terrible plays...i place 90% of the blame on Nash...if they ever want to contend they'd should consider getting a better point guard.

I can't wait till Bynum comes back. The Lakers were downright scary with him, Gasol, Odom, Fisher, and Kobe. Not to mention Walton, Farmar, Sasha, Vlad, and RONNY off the bench, I'm really liking this team!

Huh ?

You're blaming Nash ?

This series could have gone either way and it aint his fault

Game 1

25 Points, 13 Assists

Game 2

23 Points, 10 Assists

Game 3

9 and 7

Game 4

15 and 4

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Have you even seen this dude's career averages in the playoffs ? Blaming him is as joke

Bringing Shaq in was a bad idea; they went from run and gun small ball to slow down, wait for Shaq ball.

Nash is the real deal.

Did you even see the game ?

Talk about a guy who doesn't play defense. Sheesh. 2xMVP? No way.

Regarding Kobe's defense, yeah he gambles, but I've watched him shut down great offensive players for the entire game.

Oh Spurs, how I hate thee.
