Agreed. Maybe the answer is only YT fools who only shoot themselves.

I think they put a switch in the camera bodies to change the focus direction either way.
When CineD did the test on Z9 NRaw in January, there was no improvement going to LogC, but Gerald showed 2 stops, so I took another look at how he tested. He used NR on LogC while Guenther didn't, so apples to oranges. Gerald's latest test is the S5IIX external raw, and there also was no difference among logs. So the thing that caused the 2 stop DR improvement on the Z9 was actually NR which is unfortunate beause the Z9 needed NR to approach the same DR number as the S5IIX without. It can be said the S5IIX is doing internal NR but he set it to minimum.
EDIT: some readers (Thatcher Freeman and others) suggested that potentially a color space transform in DaVinci Resolve from N-RAW using linear to another log profile......

A bone to pick with Nikon - if you release an 8K camera and then make an 8K video, upload it in 8K (I can only access it in 4K).
And unrelated postscript - the DP Review as a brand name had to have been sold because new YouTube review clips under that moniker are being posted.
The Imaging Resource, on the other hand, was shut down, as its parent company Madavor was sold to a jazz geared publisher. Madavor has owned the IR since 2019. Its Jazz Times magazine was the desired property.
And,just for the record, the Canon Rumors also changed owners. IIRC, it took place about a year ago.
I don't see why DPReview couldn't get around that, with YouTube's support. But I guess the tech giants don't give a f*ck about moderation as long as they get the eyeballs.

The 8K bone to be picked is with YouTube, not Nikon. I've posted about this elsewhere, but if you upload an 8K video in SDR, it plays in 8K. But if you upload an 8K HDR video, it only plays 8K in the HDR mode. Viewing it in SDR maxes it out at 4K. The Nikon video above does play in 8K if HDR is enabled and your hardware is supporting.
