With NAB a 'few' months away is anyone expecting anything major/interesting?

From rumors it appears that Apple will be launching (if not releasing!) Shake's replacement 'Phenominon' which is kinda getting my juices flowing so to speak ;)

Indy.....

RED Digital Cinema will be showing their professional pocket camera called "Scarlet". I'm intrigued.

Yeah, the only thing I've heard being talked about is Scarlet. We can probably expect to see the 2/3" XDCAM422 from Sony as well, and I imagine the Infinity will actually show shipping models. We've seen a mockup of a Panasonic DVX-lookin' AVC-HD cam shown at some Tokyo show (InterBee, I think) so maybe that'll get introduced in the USA. Sony should be showing their two new HDV shoulder-mount cams. Kodak'll probably show Vision3 stock... don't know what other treats are in store.

Where's the news on Scarlet?

Do we know any specs or just "pocket camera?" Sounds awesome.

...if only NAB wasn't during the school week.

I'll let you know if I plan on dropping a camera from a high place this year TC. I know you missed the opportunity to get a shot of it last year.

If I had followed you around for just 3 more minutes I totally could have gotten the shot. D'oh!
