I don't have a DSLR. But I do plan buying one (a GH1 or T2I). But my friend just got a T3I and I we're gonna try and shoot something for a contest. But we both don't know much about DSLR videos. Can someone link me a tutorial on how to use the T3I video functions?
 
The Chapter in the manual is pretty well written for the camera. Chapter 6 i think for the t2i.
as for shutter, set to 1/50 for 24p, 1/60 for 30p. and try to stay below ISO 800
Now go crazy.
 
Get on Amazon and find "From Still to Motion" - great book about DSLR filmmaking, which also covers a ton of basics that would matter for film cams, video, etc.
